Pink Pewter just visited the Vegas strip with its line of high-fashion hair accessories. The Kids Show Las Vegas show, "the one everyone is talking about," was hosted at Bally's Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, August 25-27, 2008. These hair accessories can also be found on CW’s Gossip Girl.
Reports from the Vegas show state that it is once again, "all about the bling," for children's and adult accessories. The "Isabel," with its Swarovski crystal design and croc embossed band, was once again the crowd favorite. The "Ariel" style headband in silk with silk flower embellishment also was a hit. It is currently on back order as a result of its huge success at the show.

Mireya has been a hair stylist along with her mother for more than 15 years. Her mother built the business while raising her and her younger sister.  Essentially, she grew up in the salon. She became a beautician in order to help her mother. Their salon is located in Melrose Park, and has been a staple in the Latin community for more than 30 years, and draws a diverse and loyal clientele.

Mireya always aspired to be a fashion designer.  In the summer of 2007, she began designing a line of fashion headbands.  The idea was that the headbands were a natural extension of the salon and complimented the clients' styles and personality.  It was the finishing touch on a new style. The fashion line has grown significantly since then and become more popular in boutiques, trade shows and with distributors.
